Entertain and inspire both children and their carers – enabling them not to speak on different levels but find common ground.
At the start of the project, Aram, Mooradian’s Founder, showed us some books he had picked up on a recent trip to Yerevan.
We made it a goal to create a contemporary grotesque which echoes something of these Armenian forms.
Our approach to the use of colour is generally very restrained to allow Thomas’ images of the architecture to be the focus throughout.

- Polytechnic Reinvents Reading with Anywhere Book Club Design
Polytechnic created a whimsical and inclusive brand identity for Anywhere Book Club, a children’s reading initiative founded by Natasha Morgan and Saskia Sims. The identity centers on a tamandua mascot illustrated by Marcus Oakley, paired with expressive typography and nostalgic printed guides. Polytechnic developed a refined brand identity for Mooradian Studio, an architecture firm, centered around a bespoke mono-weight typeface called Mooradian Grotesque. The design draws inspiration from Armenian lettering and mid-century type design, complemented by a restrained color palette and tactile materials. The collaboration highlights a thoughtful balance between typography, architecture, and materiality.
