Identity design for Yat Po Singers’ 2024 double bill, featuring the original a cappella theatrical works The Memories of Food and Death of the Lead by musician interns Avery Wong and Nick Yam. The project supported the launch of two debut productions developed from concept through composition and arrangement. The studio created a visual identity and print materials that framed the paired shows as a unified cultural event within the performing arts field.
The LITTLE Things in Life is a theatre project by Yat Po Singers that explores the quiet emotional texture of everyday urban life. The production presents intimate stories of 6 men and 6 women through 12 distinct musical keys and tonalities, using original a cappella melodies to express small joys, silent struggles, and the loneliness of being together in a crowd. For this 2024 performing arts project, the studio created the identity and print design, shaping a visual system that supports the production’s reflective, human-centered narrative.
For Yat Po Singers, the studio created the identity for Our Immortal Cantata, a theatrical a cappella contest set in the afterlife. The production reimagines legendary tragic lovers, including Romeo and Juliet, Madame Butterfly, and The Butterfly Lovers, as ghostly contestants in a melodramatic singing showdown. The identity supports the show’s mix of opera, theatre, camp spectacle, romance, and rivalry, translating its darkly comic premise and heightened emotion into printed materials for the performing arts context.
