Frost*collective developed the brand identity, wayfinding strategy, signage, digital work and internal graphics for North Sydney Olympic Pool in partnership with North Sydney Council. The identity centres the pool’s view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, using a logo whose typography suggests the bridge above and pool below, paired with the line “Legendary since 1936.” Marine-life illustrations and Art Deco water patterns inform the graphic language, while colour and type reference the 1970s. Frost* also applied the system to patterned concrete blocks and navigation signage, including more than 100 bronze frogs set into the concrete.
Frost* collaborated with North Sydney Council to redefine the precinct’s image from dull and grey to vibrant and balanced. Through community engagement, brand strategy, and a social campaign anchored by #NTHSYD, the project highlighted North Sydney’s unique blend of urban energy and green harbour surroundings, transforming public perception within a year.
